Mare Power

 

Mares nowadays seemingly get little credit for what foals they put on the ground, mare power is essential when looking at a foal you wish to purchase. We have found temperment does come through and having an idea of what mum is like gives a huge insight into what the foals will become, obviously in this situation its hard to assess but, by spending time around them and watching them, you gain a good insight.

When looking for foals to offer the mare has to have straight correct conformation,  it is so important to be able to see parents as some faults are hereditory, some of which are not so apparent in young foals. They should have bone but minimal feather,  in most cases we get to see them move to ensure again they are straight and correct, pretty is as pretty does, no one can deny they love eye candy and these girls produce that over and over again!!
